It’s the very last days of summer… I know, I am sad, too. But there is still hope for some of us. And in order to keep this hope alive, I decided to do the last S/S report for this year. It revolves around the two best trends of this summer (at least for me) and pretty tiny street. You know, it’s all about tiny things on this blog…
It is the middle of August, I am back in the weird Dutch weather, but you know what, there is always a little room left for summer style, if not for me then maybe for you girls. That’s why, there i is this one, which is a trend, I really think will not go out of style probably next summer, as well. Maybe because of its comfort, or because in the fact that there are literally an infinite number of variations to it.
Is it really, though? A men’s world, because this trend is about shirts with banker stripes but they are literally turned upside down from the normality we’re used to. I like calling it the “weirdo shirts” trend as it involves bell sleeves, buttons in the back, embroidery, only one sleeve, cropped, over-sized or whatever you can think of that is tweaked out of the normal shirts we’re all used to. So let’s dig in, and see how we can use this trend and make it our own for the tiny girls that we are.
Omg, can you believe it?! Finally, time for spring. Even though, the lovely Dutch weather may not agree with me, I have decided it it spring and it’s time to bring out all those trend reports, all us tiny girls can use this season. It’s the season we can finally get rid of all layers that make us look like a Michelin man (well at least some of them, for now) and enjoy the sun (or rain in my case). The first trend is about something that when I read it, I may have almost screamed. I love mini skirts okay…
Can you tell me you don’t own at least one? Or you haven’t seen them after no more than being ten minutes out of the house? Yup, I am pretty sure you have. Chokers are the very trend that literally everyone has gone crazy about. Did you hear Asos wanted to make them for men as well? But yes, chokers are the big big trend right now and it seems it’s not going away soon.
First and foremost, Merry Christmas, ladies! I hope you’re all having a wonderful holiday season and there is a bit of time to spare for a dose of Disastrous Couture. This one is literally about embracing the tiny cutesy girl look. In the winter that is. I mean we all know that we are going to get lost in all the layers we need to wear to keep warm so we might as well go with it. Right!?
It’s that time again… I am currently in bed drowning in self-pity over the flu that is trying to get the best of me. But I am not giving up girls. There I am writing you an article with yet another trend for this fall/winter season. To be fair, it is probably one of my favorites and of course I also put in some pieces here and there that suggest more Fall-fashion things that are very much in right now. I have my napkins and tea ready, so let’s get on with it…
Maybe the title of the article is a bit too cheesy? But well, it’s true, isn’t it? It is time for Fall already, and it seems that denim is going into the season with full speed. In whatever form and length and us tiny girls shouldn’t stray away from this wonderful trend. It’s time for the overalls, the jackets, shirts and jeans to be taken out but of course a few simple rules need to be followed in order for our height to be lengthened with a bit of illusion.
“Stuff your eyes with wonder, live as if you’d drop dead in ten seconds. See the world. It’s more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories.” – Ray Bradbury. I remember reading this quote somewhere about a year ago and then saving it because of the impact it had on me. It’s very much true, isn’t it? This quote made me realize that whatever I do, I will try to travel as much as possible. However, this post is not about travelling.Well, it is, but it is about fashion while travelling for all my tiny ladies and finding sufficient ways to experiment with simple pieces for more options for less packing and less effort.
I don’t know about you ladies but my excitement for Fall/Winter style hasn’t died down even though we’re halfway done with the season. To be fair, I am even more excited as there it’s getting colder and layers are doubling up. And with winter here, I thought why not dive in to this blog with some Fall/Winter fashion. I know, I know I am a bit late but as I think all of us are probably tired of seeing the same outfits and trends, I decided to combine a few and put a different spin to what we’ve been seeing and wearing for the last two months.
